BUCAY, Abra – A 54-year old retired soldier was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on a warrant of arrest for murder at South Poblacion here Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Antonio Bartolome, provincial director of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested wanted person as Eddie Lopez Daoala, 54, married, retired solider, and a resident of Barangay Bangabang, Bucay, Abra.
He was arrested by virtue of two warrants of arrest issued by Judge Rafael Alzate of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 58 in Bucay town for violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 10591 or the New Firearms Control Law and murder with a recommended bail of P100,000 and no bail for the murder charge.
The arrested wanted individual was subsequently brought to the Bucay Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposition of the cases filed against him.
