BONTOC, Mountain Province – The Department of Agriculture-Cordillera Administrative Region (DA-CAR) in partnership with the Bontoc municipal government through the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist conducted a “Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita on Wheels” on February 9, 2022, at the Municipal Capitol Grounds.
According to Agriculturist II Efren Lorenzo of the DA-CAR’s Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division, the program seeks to increase small farmers’ and fisherfolks’ income as well as to provide consumers access to quality agri-fishery products at affordable prices.
Some of the products displayed were vegetables, dried fish, fruits, rice, indoor and outdoor plants, as well as footwears.
Meanwhile, Bontoc Mayor Franklin Odsey extended his gratitude to the DA-CAR bringing the program in the municipality.
“The Kadiwa on Wheels would not only greatly help the farmers and fisherfolks but would also help the consumers who can avail of the local produce and other products at a more affordable price,” he added.
