FLORA, Apayao – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Apayao awarded on January 15, 2024 the materials for the coconut processing and handicrafts making to Flora Arimutmut Farmers’ Association.
The grant is a response to the proposed livelihood project of the group in a bid to increase their income and help its members.
The agency stated that the PhP376,860 worth of tools and equipment delivered at the municipal government will boost the socio-economic standing of the members of the association through income-generating and employment opportunities in the locality.
It was granted under the DOLE’S Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), one of its flagship programs which provides assistance and capacity-building on livelihood and entrepreneurial ventures primarily focused on marginalized workers.
