In his presentation, Mr. Zamora emphasized the Department’s goal of creating opportunities for sustainable livelihoods that align with DOLE’s shared goal of fostering economic growth and empowerment, even at the grassroots level.

While having disabilities may pose as a barrier to some physical and economic activities, there are achievable measures and accesses to economic security.
At the latter part of the program the attendees were given ample time to raise their concerns and clarification in the applicability and availability of their intended projects.
During the question-and-answer portion, the participants also shared their hopes and aspirations – thanking the DOLE for setting the stepping stones toward economic independence.
The presenters reminded the participants that the government is committed in reaching out to everyone in the society, especially to those in need.
