ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao April 20 – A 58-year old farmer died after his motorcycle was allegedly bumped by a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) while negotiating a turn along the main road at San Juan, here, Wednesday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Lorenzo Serquiña Bibat, 58, married, farmer, and resident of San Juan, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao while the suspect was named as Romeo Vinoya Esteban Sr., 72, married, farmer a resident of Calimag, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was driving his motorcycle and was about to negotiate a turn along the highway when it was accidentally bumped by the SUV driven by the suspect causing him to be thrown off his vehicle and banging his head and body on the ground.
The victim was rushed by concerned citizens to the Potia District hospital for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians while the suspect voluntarily surrendered to responding authorities.
