It is written, “He takes pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”
Last Sunday, we talked about our commitment to grow in the area of fitness. This Sunday, we will talk about our commitment to grow in the area of our farm – our way of making money (fruits) in the form of business or employment (farm).
It is important that we grow in our farms because we want to continue serving ourselves and others. We need and want to continue making a living as this supports us to make a life!
What’s beautiful is that Somebody takes pleasure in our prosperity. When we prosper, we will be able to serve more, give more and love more. It extends our way of giving value to the society. Our goodness can be magnified with money being used as a tool to serve the end goal which is service.
To be able to grow in our farm, we have to grow in two areas: money mindset and money manners.
Money Mindset. We have to change our way of thinking saying that money is bad. With this, we shun money automatically. Subconsciously. We have to understand that money is simply a tool. If you use a tool into something bad, then it will be bad. But if you use a tool into its proper use, into something good, then it will be very good!
When we develop a new way of thinking about money, our approach will be changed in a better way. We will now be able to comfortably spot opportunities to serve others and in the process, earning money. We will now be able to look into possible business as we spot problems in the society that need to be solved and in the process, earning comes along.
When we have the proper money mindset, we will be more equipped to develop and deliver value. And as we deliver value, value comes back to us.
Money Manners. There are some habits and routines that are incapacitating us to take charge of our farm, our financial life. Perhaps, our spending habits need to be changed. Maybe, our saving strategy has to be replaced.

When we are able to develop proper money mindset and money manners, our way of growing and receiving the fruits of our farm will be improved, enhanced and maybe even hastened.
We are then challenged to commit to grow in our farm as we commit to develop new and better mindset and manners toward money. This way, we will be able to serve ourselves and others more. We will be able to love more. After all, as Bo Sanchez shares, “The ultimate purpose of wealth is to love others.”
