FLORA, Apayao April 10 – A 74-year old man died after he was allegedly struck with a hard object on his head and partially burned inside his residence at Purok Guinto, Poblacion West, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Rudy Pascua, 74, unemployed, and a resident of Purok Guinto, Poblacion West, Flora, Apayao.
The lifeless body of the victim which was covered by partially burned clothes was found by his grandson Monday morning when he visited him inside his residence.
Post-mortem examination conducted on the victim’s body showed that he died over 24 hours prior to being discovered inside his residence.
Probers are still conducting an in-depth investigation on the case to ascertain the real motive of the perpetrator in the commission of the heinous crime.
