BAGUIO CITY – A 42-year old laborer was injured after he was allegedly stabbed by a wielder during a drinking session at Purok 26, Upper San Carlos Heights, Irisan, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Manuel Oyam Dangilan, 42, single, construction worker, residing at Purok 28, Upper San Carlos Heights, Irisan, Baguio City while the suspect was named as Abello Guinowon Dada-an, 41 years old, welder and residing at Purok 26, Upper San Carlos Heights, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and the suspect, together with some companions, were having a drinking session when a verbal altercation between the two individuals suddenly erupted.
At the height of the altercation, the victim allegedly punched the suspect that prompted the latter to retaliate by stabbing him on the different parts of his body.
The victim was immediately rushed by their companions to the Baguio general Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment and is now undergoing close medical supervision while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives and is now awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him.
