BAUKO, Mountain Province –A 30-year old store owner was injured after he was allegedly repeatedly stabbed by a 14-year old minor inside her residence at Sadsadan Trail, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Conception Bando Gahinto, 30 years old, single, storekeeper, a native of Banaue, Ifugao, and resident of Sadsadan Trail, Bauko, Mountain Province while the suspect was described to be a minor, 14, Grade 7 student and a resident of Sadsadan Trail, Bauko, Mountain Province.
Initial police investigation showed that the suspect was one of the workers hauling vegetables and after completing their assigned work, he immediately proceeded to the store of the victim where he discovered that the same was locked.
The suspect then proceeded to the second floor of the store to look for the key but he was seen by the owner who shouted for help but he allegedly stabbed her on the different parts of her body while she was fighting back.
A witness who happened to pass by saw the incident and shouted for help to pacify the commotion.
The victim was rushed to the Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital for medical treatment where she is now confined while the suspect was arrested by concerned residents and was turned over to the Bauko Municipal Police Station for appropriate disposition.
