From January to May this year, the number of recorded crimes in Lagawe, Ifugao remained low due to the pro-activeness of the Lagawe Municipality Police Station.
Police Master Sergeant Dominguez Bolla, Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO), expressed that there were only five cases recorded of various cases. These are identified as estafa, homicide, robbery, illegal logging, and vehicular accident.
PMSgt. Bolla attributed the low number of cases to the intensified implementation of different anti-crime approaches, including campaigns for peace and order, continued implementation and compliance with laws and ordinances, information, education, and communication (IEC) campaigns in schools and public places with the people’s support.

He also shared that the visibility and physical presence of the police in public areas is significantly helpful in maintaining the order in the town.
PMSgt. Bolla added that the peace and order of the community is still continuing and crime is decreasing due to the unity of their police officers.
“Having discipline within the home is important, because the family is the small community that can be started, it will be fine, and it will be even finer if you participate in the community,” Bolla reminded.
He also emphasized that a campaign from the ranks of the police will still be re-enforced to maintain the peace and order in the Municipality of Lagawe, Ifugao.
“Lagawe Municipal Police Station is doing well and their programs is good, including anti-bullying for elementary level; anti-drugs campaign and anti-bullying for high school level and college level; and, anti-rape, anti-drugs for [the] community. For minors, [or even for everyone], these [campaigns] are very effective to prevent cases [of] crime that [may] happen in the community,” Linda Tubban ended. By Ray Christian Cabaldo
