BAGUIO CITY – A 31-year old man was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on a warrant for alleged illegal possession of firearms inside his residence at Sto. Tomas School Area, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the arrested individual as Andres Yag-ao Alwing, 31, married, and a resident of Sto. Tomas, Apugan, Baguio City.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Danilo Camacho of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 62 in La Trinidad for violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms Law with a recommended bail of P120,000 for his temporary liberty.
The arrested individual was brought to the Baguio City Police Office BCPO) headquarters for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposal of the case filed against him.
