BAGUIO CITY – A 74-year old landlord died after he was stabbed on his chest by his own tenant during a drinking session inside his residence at Pinsao Proper, here, Sunday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Recardo Ramos Mortel 74, and resident of Purok 3 Pinsao Proper, Baguio City while the suspect, who is now at large, was named as Atos Bolaños, of legal age, laborer, tenant of the said place.
Initial police investigation showed that the suspect had a drinking session with a fellow tenant but the latter allegedly got drunk and went to sleep.
The victim arrived and joined the suspect in a drinking session where they were able to invite another tenant to join them.
However, the suspect suddenly left them and proceeded to their kitchen but when he came back, he was already armed with a kitchen knife which he used to stab the victim on his chest before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was rushed by his tenants to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians while the suspect is now the subject of a manhunt operation by responding police operatives.
