BUGUIAS, Benguet January 14 – A 25-year old man was injured after he allegedly stabbed himself using a kitchen knife inside a liquor store at Abatan, here, Sunday.
Police authorities identified the wounded individual as Gomer Toyan Macadia, 25, married, a native of Gitlangan, Cervantes, Ilocos Sur.
Initial police investigation showed that while the victim was having a drinking spree inside the said establishment, he had an alleged misunderstanding with his wife that prompted him to grab a kitchen knife and stabbed his stomach.
Concerned individuals rushed the victim to the Northern Benguet District Hospital for medical treatment but he was later transferred to the Luis Hora Regional Memorial Hospital for further observation of the stab wound on his stomach that he sustained.
