TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A 15-year old out-of-school youth died after his motorcycle collided with a pickup at barangay Appas, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Marlon Dogyawen Ayochoc, 15, single, out of school youth and resident of Conner, Apayao while the suspect was named as Mike G. Malao, 46, married, government employee, with Driver’s License and a resident of barangay Laya West, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed that the pickup was proceeding towards the north when its path was encroached by the motorcycle driven by the victim that resulted to a head on collision causing the latter to be thrown off his motorcycle to about 6 meters from the place of incident.
The victim was rushed to the Kalinga Provincial hospital for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians while the pickup driver was brought to the Tabuk city Police Office for documentation awaiting the filing of the appropriate charges against him before the provincial prosecutor’s office.
