TABUK CITY, Kalinga April 11 – A 47-year old pastor was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence based on separate warrants for four counts of rape in his alleged hideout at Bonifacio, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya, Tuesday.
Police authorities identified the arrested individual as Oliver Mariacus Abance, 47, married, pastor of Espiritista and a native of Tuba, Benguet.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Marcelino K. Wakas of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 25 in Tabuk City, Kalinga for rape in relation to the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law with a recommended bail of P200,000 and another case of rape with no bail recommended.
Further, he was also arrested by virtue of separate warrants of arrest issued by Judge Rufus G. Malecdan, Jr. of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 9 in La Trinidad, Benguet for rape with a recommended bail of P200,000 and another case of rape with no bail recommended for his temporary liberty.
The arrested individual was brought to the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Police Office for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing courts for the proper disposal of the cases filed against him.
