TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A man died after he was repeatedly shot to death by a gun-wielding suspect during an alleged altercation along Jose Abad Santos St., Laya East, here, Tuesday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Jeffrey Besas Luda, legal age, married, and resident of Laya East, Tabuk City Kalinga while the suspect was named as Randy Aboli Pacas, 49, married, and resident of Purok 2, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and the suspect had a heated altercation in front of the victim’s residence but it later escalated to a scuffle.
Despite sustaining injuries on his head, the suspect repeatedly shot the victim on the different parts of his body that resulted to his instantaneous death.
The victim was rushed by responding police operatives to the Kalinga Provincial Police Office for medical treatment but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians while the suspect was arrested by police operatives during a follow-up operation.
