TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A 36-year-old motorcycle rider died moments after hitting a stray black dog along the provincial road at barangay Laya East, here, recently.
Police identified the fatality as Jason Narag, 36, and a resident of the city.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was driving his motorcycle and travelling along the Dagupan-Laya provincial road when a black stray dog suddenly crossed his path.
Narag lost control of his motorcycle after hitting the dog which caused the instant death of the animal.
The victim was thrown off the ground after the heavy impact of the collision that caused him to bang his body on the pavement leading to his death.
Concerned motorists rushed the victim to the Kalinga Provincial hospital for medical treatment but was later transferred to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center in Tuguegarao city, Cagayan where he expired while undergoing medical treatment. By Dexter A. See
