BAGUIO CITY – A 62-year old taxi driver died after he was allegedly stabbed in the different parts of his body by still unidentified assailants at Purok 12, Irisan, here, Sunday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Francisco F. Escano, 62 years old, married, taxi driver and residing at Guisad,Ferguzon Road, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that concerned citizens found the victim sprawled bloodied on the pavement near his taxi.
He was immediately rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical C(BGHMC) for medical treatment but he expired several hours later due to stab wounds on his neck and other parts of his body inflicted by still unidentified suspects.
Probers are still ascertaining the motive behind the victim’s brutal murder considering that his collection amounting to P3,000 and other personal belongings were still intact.
