SAGADA, Mountain Province – A 24-year old local tourist was injured after she accidentally fell into a 4-meter portion of the Lumyang cave at Balugan, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the injured individual as Cindylyn Barja Sta. Romana, 24, single, local tourist, and presently residing in Tanauan, Batangas.
Initial investigation showed that the victim and her three companions went inside the Lumyang cave and upon reaching the final drop en route to the Sumaguing Cave, she accidentally slipped and fell on a 4-meter ravine in the area that prompted their tour guide to call for assistance.
Rescuers and emergency responders immediately rushed the victim to the St. Theodore’s Hospital for medical treatment but she was later confined for further observation due to alleged back pains.
