LUNA, Apayao – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Apayao Provincial Director Engr. Mayer Max G. Adong reminded members of the Provincial Management Review Board and other officers of the necessity of being “Built for Excellence,” urging the team to unite and aim for nothing less than perfection, consistently surpassing past achievements.
The statement came during the first quarter of 2024 Provincial Management Review (PMR) convened at the La Nouva Vita Hotel and Restaurant in San Isidro Sur, Luna where Adong challenged the members of the team to work harder and do better to maintain the good standing of the local government units (LGUs) in the province.
It can be recalled that provincial governments and all municipal governments have recently been recipients of the DILG Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping award, while others also received other recognitions for their compliance and outstanding performance in governance.
During said review, a meeting for the Sub-Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) and Sub-Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS) was also held.
During the session, all DILG-Apayao staff members were briefed on the progress of previous PMR actions as well as updates from various sections including Finance and Administrative, Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation, Local Government Capability Development, and Quality Management System implementation. Concerns from Cluster Offices were likewise addressed.
Presentations and discussions on the Gender and Development Seal, Sub-LGRRC activities, and the DILG Strategic Plan for 2023-2028 were done. By Maureen Legaspi
