An unlicensed firearms and two rifle grenades were voluntary surrendered to police authorities in Abra.
On July 28, 2018 at around 9:00 AM during the assembly meeting in Brgy. Colabaoan, San Juan, Abra, Barangay chairman Onofre Gumidam Baga and Bantay Bayan Chief Gilbert Leones Wright, voluntarily surrendered to the personnel of San Juan Municipal Police Station, a caliber .22 revolver without serial number, markings and ammunition.
The firearm was duly received by PI Anselmo L. Mayao. Said firearm is now under the custody of San Juan MPS for documentation prior turn over to the Abra Crime Laboratory Office for registration in the Integrated Ballistic Identification System.
On the same date and time, personnel of Licuan-Baay Municipal Police Station led by PI Van Kimber G Kitong, conducted barangay visitation and pulong-pulong at Sitio Baquero, Brgy. Nalbuan, Licuan-Baay, Abra. During the engagement with the local residents, Barangay Kagawad Indra G. Queza, 59 years old, married, resident of same place, voluntary surrendered one rifle grenade with markings M-ISC-AVA-0066-89.
Said rifle grenade is now under the custody of Licuan-Baay MPS for documentation prior turn-over to the EOD personnel of Abra PPO.
On July 28, 2018, at around 2:00 PM, personnel of La Paz MPS led by PSI Bob Stephen L Paguirigan, conducted barangay visitation and pulong-pulong in Brgy. Mudeng, La Paz, Abra.
As a result, Barangay Chairperson Manuela Balaoro voluntarily surrendered one rifle grenade with serial number M-76B-AVA-0057-85.
Said rifle grenade is now under the custody of La Paz MPS for documentation prior turn-over to EOD personnel of Abra
On July 31, 2018 at about 4:10 PM, Abra personnel of Lagangilang MPS conducted pulon-pulong with the San Isidro, Lagangilang residents and discussed the PNP programs regarding on the relentless campaign against loose firearms and anti-criminality.
As a result John Robinson Trongco Tuzon, 25, single, Barangay Tanod with the presence of the Barangay Chairman, Vince Albert V. Guzman, voluntarily surrendered one cal. 38 revolver, without serial number, without markings and with no ammunition to Lagangilang MPS.
Said firearm is now under the custody of Lagangilang MPS for documentation prior turn over to the Abra Crime Laboratory Office for Integrated Ballistic Identification System.
The surrender of the firearm and rifle grenades is a result of the relentless campaign against loose firearm/explosive and anti-criminality.
