LAGAYAN, Abra – A 36-year old businesswoman died after she was shot to death by three motorcycle-riding armed men in front of her residence at Pulot, here, recently.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Evelyn Andres Vista, 36, married, business woman, and a resident of Pulot, Lagayan, Abra while the suspects were named as Regie Donato, Joel Donato, Leonard Donato and a certain Pambong.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was busy peddling her barbecue in front of her residence when the motorcycle-riding suspects arrived and subsequently fired at her several times hitting her on the different parts of her body.
She was rushed by concerned neighbors to the Abra Provincial Hospital but she was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of her body.
Responding police operatives and elements of the Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) recovered from the crime scene five spent shells, a slug and a fired bullet of a calibre .45 pistol which was used by the suspects in the perpetration of the crime.
