BAGUIO CITY – A 34-year old man was killed while his younger brother was injured after they were repeatedly stabbed by their fellow construction worker at Holy Ghost Extension, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Michael Espiritu Arbollente, 34, married, while his injured brother was named as John Raymond Espiritu Arbollente, 24, single.
On the other hand, the suspect was named by the police operatives as Rolando Almera Moralida, 33, carpenter, and a resident of Palatin, Pasig.
Initial police investigation showed that the victims and the suspect were having a drinking spree in the place of incident when a misunderstanding between them suddenly erupted until the latter got a knife and repeatedly stabbed the duo.
The victims were rushed to the St. Louis University Sacred Heart Hospital for medical treatment but one of them was declared dead on arrival while his brother was brought to the intensive care unit for further observation.
The suspect was arrested by their neighbors and turned over to the responding police operatives for him to answer for the crime he committed.
