BAGUIO CITY March 27 – A 25-year old construction worker died while his brother and a student were wounded after they were involved in a brawl in front of a bar along Upper Session road, Sunday night.
Police authorities identified the fatality as Raymart Sanchez Torres, 25, single, construction worker, and a resident of Lower Cabinet Hill, Baguio City while his injured companions were named as Restlee Agsaoay Maglaya, , 23, single, student, and a resident of Tocmo, Loakan, Itogon, Benguet and Fernando Sanchez Torres, 28, single, construction worker, and a resident of Lower Cabinet Hill, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and his companions went to the bar to have a drinking session. The tables of the victims and the suspects were adjacent with each other when an altercation suddenly erupted among them.
The heater arguments continued outside the establishment until it escalated into a brawl wherein the suspects stabbed the victims with the use of a sharp object before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The three injured individuals were immediately rushed by concerned bystanders to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment but the older Torres was declared dead on arrival due to multiple stab wounds on the different parts of his body while his wounded companions were under close medical supervision.
