La Trinidad – The Schools Division of Benguet produced 27 passers, 22 in the elementary level and 5 in the secondary level, in the 2017 Principals’ Test based on the results released on May 28, 2018 under DepEd Memorandum No. 93, s. 2018 through the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD).
There were 103 qualified applicants in Benguet to the 2017 Principals’ Test nationwide, held last December 17, 2017, The passers are: Julie M. Albo-Atok; Edwin S. Ayangdan -Mankayan (Sec); Emily T. Bagayao-Bakun; Ardeshir A. Bedso-Bokod; Vilma B. Beliano-La Trinidad(Sec); Ferdinand T. Carantes-Itogon; Milbert B. Cocoy-Tuba; Nancy D. Costina-Itogon (Sec); Mack O. Dalay-on-Itogon (Sec); Cristobal E. Dinamling-Sablan, Carol C. Elis – Sablan; Dolores G. Fidel -Bakun; Emerson B. Hadsan-La Trinidad; Gloria A. Hilario -Bokod; Maryflor D. Hipol- Sablan; Noemi Mary C. Lenneng – Sablan; Mary Jane L. Leo – Tuba; Agnes B. Malinias – La Trinidad; Arnold L. Manio – Kabayan (Sec); Carmen G. Martinez – Buguias; Nobres L. Meno – Kabayan; Emerald S. Olsina – Tublay; Aida A. Pe – La Trinidad; Lavi C. Pistula – Sablan; Evelyn B. Sitam -Atok; Felomina T. Taplin – Tuba and Lorna V. Wallit-La Trinidad.
The passers were able to obtain the required rating of at least 70% in each of the three cluster domains consisted of two hundred (200) items as cluster 1 for School Leadership (SL) and Personal and Professional Attributes and Interpersonal Effectiveness (PPAIE) – 65 items; cluster 2 for Instructional Leadership (IL) and Creating a Student-Centered Learning Climate (CSCLC)- 65 items and cluster 3 for Human Resource Management and Professional Development (HRMPD), Parents Involvement and Community Partnership (PICP) and School Management and Operations (SMO) – with 70 items.
It can be recalled that DepEd Memorandum No. 174, s. 2017:”2017 Principals” Test”, states that an applicant must meet any of the following experience requirement such as: one year as Head Teacher or two years as Teacher InCharge or MasterTeacher , or five years as Teacher III or Special Education (SPED) Teacher or five years as incumbent public school teacher with five years of managerial and supervisory experience in a DepEd-recognized private institution or Commission on Higher Education (CHED)-recognized higher education institution.
Consistent with previous issuances, passers of this test shall form pool of qualifiers from which shall be drawn those who will undergo further training for Principalship and eventually be appointed to vacant Principal I positions after undergoing the selection process for promotion to a Principal I position
