CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Bengue – It is March Madness for the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera as three watch-listed members of different local drug groups and three others were arrested in separate buy-bust operations last night.
Geronimo Saure Estimada alias Roan, 37 years old, native of Binalonan, Pangasinan, resident of La Trinidad, Benguet and a watch-listed local drug group member was collared when he sold a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth P18,000 to an anti-narcotics agent at his rented unit in Lubas, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Upon his arrest, the PDEA agents chanced upon Estimada’s companions having a shabu session inside. Nabbed during the session were Christian Paikot Beneyat, 20 years old, porter, native and resident of Bauko, Mountain Province; Jefferson Curameng Requizo, 21 years old, porter, native of Bauko, Mountain Province and a resident of Pico, La Trinidad Benguet; a 15-year old male watch-listed drug personality and a 17-year old female.
Confiscated from the operation were three more plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and several drug paraphernalia. The minors were turned over to the Social Welfare Office for the proper intervention program while the other suspects are temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR jail facility pending the filing of cases for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia) and Section 15 (Use of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act Number 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, another watch-listed drug group member was cuffed for selling three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu to a PDEA-CAR poseur-buyer a few hours from the La Trinidad bust.
Rahman Catle Emon alias Bash Roca, 24 years old, a babysitter and resident of Upper Quezon Hill, Baguio City was arrested near a funeral parlor along Naguilian Road, Baguio City during the sting operation.
Confiscated from Emon were the buy-bust money worth P4,000 and a mobile phone.
He is temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR jail facility pending the filing of cases for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of R.A. 9165
