City officials expressed the local government’s generosity to Engr. Victorino Cabinta’s generosity for constructing a basketball court and improvement of the drainage system amounting to more or less P8 million at his own expense.
In a resolution authored by Vice Mayor Faustino A. Olowan and Councilor Leandro B. Yangot, Jr., local legislators stated that Engr. Cabinta’s generosity in building a basketball court and a drainage canal at his own expense benefitted the barangay and the city as a whole.
Engr. Cabinta is a graduate of the Saint Louis University (SLU) with the degree of Bachelor of Science in electrical Engineering in 1987.
He worked as an electrical engineer and quality controller for various electrical projects, designs and constructions.
Further, he was a quality controller for the installation and construction of electrical apparatus and equipment while he was in the design industry.
Cabinta has also worked on government projects such as, but not limited to, t1q ,the Guam Power Authority, Department of Education and Guam Telephone Authority.
He specialized in transmission, generation, electrical distribution systems and renewable sustainable energy.
Cabinta reportedly developed an open space adjacent in Bakakeng Norte/Sur barangay into a basketball court as well as the drainage canal at his own expense with an estimated cost of more or less P8 million
The council underscored that Engr. Cabinta’s generosity is worthy of emulation by the city residents to help in addressing the issues and concerns of the various barangays in the city.
