BAGUIO CITY – A driver was injured after he was hacked by a bolo-wielding vegetable vendor creating trouble while pacifying the latter at purok 7, Padre Zamora St., here, Friday.
Police authorities identified the victim as one Reynaldo Cruz Baǹaga, 36, married, driver while the suspect was named as Mayolito Erno Allavado, 32, single, vegetable seller and both residents of Purok 2, Padre Zamora, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed that the suspect was allegedly creating trouble in their neighbourhood when the victim tried to pacify him.
However, the suspect instead hacked the victim once on his head that resulted to a scuffle between the duo until the wounded individual was able to get the bolo from the suspect and threw it away.
The victim was rushed by concerned citizens to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment while responding operatives were able to arrest the suspect and is now awaiting the filing of frustrated murder charges against him before the city prosecutor’s office.
