KIANGAN, Ifugao – A tricycle driver was injured after he was allegedly stabbed by a fellow tricycle driver during a drinking session inside a videoke bar at Baguinge, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Thorndyke Hangdaan Tayaban, 33, married, Tricycle Driver and resident of Tao, Baguinge, Kiangan, Ifugao while the suspect was named as Keneth Malanta Pulido, 35, separated, Tricycle Driver and resident of Butigue, Baguinge, Kiangan Ifugao.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim and the suspect, together with other companions, were having a drinking spree inside a videoke bar in the place of incident when a heated altercation suddenly erupted between the two drivers.
At this juncture, the suspect allegedly get hold of a knife and stabbed the victim once before fleeing towards an undisclosed direction.
The victim was rushed to the Ifugao Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but he was later transferred to the Veterans Regional Memorial Hospital in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya for further medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives during a followup operation.
