A drug peddler was arrested last night by anti-narcotics agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Benguet Office and local police during a buy-bust operation along Luneta Hill, Baguio City.
Dennis Joel Llorente Paraguas, 52 years old and resident of Scout Barrio, Baguio City was arrested for selling a transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover agent.
Prior to his arrest, Paraguas had been reported to be rampant in the sale of dangerous drugs. He was previously arrested in 2006 for violating Republic Act Number 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
The suspect is temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR jail facility pending the filing of appropriate case for violating Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) of RA No. 9165.
