A member of a local drug group operating in Baguio and Benguet was arrested last night by anti-narcotics agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Benguet Office and local police during a buy-bust operation along Military Cut-Off, Baguio City.
Michael Rebollido Balcita alias Mike, 37 years old and resident of Quirino Hill, Baguio City was arrested for selling a transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu with a street value of P12,500 to an undercover agent.
Upon his arrest, the suspect yielded the buy-bust money, some drug paraphernalia, a mobile phone unit and a Lifan vehicle used during the drug transaction.
Balcita’s arrest brings to three the number of arrested drug personalities in a day for PDEA-CAR following the arrest earlier of Carlos Salviejo Lagayan, a former PNP member and Dennis Joel Llorente Paraguas, a rampant drug peddler in Baguio City.
The suspect is temporarily detained at the PDEA-CAR jail facility pending the filing of appropriate cases for violating Republic Act Number 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
