KABUGAO, Apayao – A 35-year old farmer was injured after he was allegedly hacked by a fellow farmer during a drinking session at Taracay, Lenneng, here, recently.
Police authorities identified the injured individuals as Charlie Alamong Santos, 35, married while the suspect was named as Rodrigo Pulingday Imgay, 37, married, farmer and both residents of Taracay, Lenneng, Kabugao, Apayao.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim went to the house of the suspect’s father for a drinking spree and purposely to ask advise from the latter regarding his alleged problem with his wife.
The suspect, who was at the back of their house, reportedly interfered that prompted the victim to come out of the house to pacify the suspect.
However, the suspect allegedly hacked the victim for still unknown reasons that caused him to sustain multiple hack wounds on the different parts of his body and he was rushed to the Apayao District Hospital for medical treatment.
The suspect was subsequently arrested by responding police operatives of the Kabugao Municipal Police Station where he is now facing attempted homicide charges.
