PILAR, Abra – A 46-year old farmer was injured after he was repeatedly stabbed by still unidentified suspects while on his way home after attending a wedding at barangay Pang-ot, here, Thursday.
Senior Superintendent Antonio Bartolome, provincial director of the Abra Provincial Police Office, identified the victim as Roger Palo Gatmen, 46, single, Farmer and a resident of barangay Pang-ot, Pilar, Abra
Initial police investigation showed the victim and his companions who came from Nalvo, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur, attending a wedding in their place and after attending the same, they went to the house of a certain Junjun Dizon to have a drinking session.
While Noel Bayaten Amorada was walking along the barangay road, he saw the victim’s body sprawled on the ground with blood oozing from the left side of his body due to several stab wounds.
The victim was immediately rushed to the nearby Narvacan hospital in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur for medical treatment and was subsequently confined while the suspects are now the subject of a manhunt operation by police personnel.
