ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao – A 17-year old student died after he slipped wile maneuvering himself in a slide but eventually drowned in a resort at Potia, here, Saturday.
Police authorities identified the fatality as an ALS student, 17, and resident of Ngileb, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim went to a slide in the resort and tried to use the same in a standing position that caused him to hit his cousin before falling on the pool.
Concerned watchmen observed that the victim was not coming out of the water that prompted them to rescue the victim and apply first aid but their efforts were in vain.
The victim was immediately rushed by concerned rescuers to the Potia District Hospital for medical treatment but he was declared on arrival by attending physicians.
