LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A minor was arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found marijuana leaves in his possession during a police operation at Buyagan, Poblacion, here, Thursday.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, refused to divulge the identity of the arrested minor pursuant to existing rules and regulations.
Initial police investigation showed the police operatives were conducting routi8ne foot patrol in the area when they saw a minor with a violet backpack walking towards them.
However, upon seeing the policemen, the minor reportedly suddenly changed direction and started to evade the policemen who in turn chased and was able to collar him.
During the conduct of the search on his backpack, the police operatives reportedly found five pieces of tubular formed dried marijuana leaves wrapped with blue packing tape weighing approximately 4 kilos with a market value of P30,000.
