BAGUIO CITY – The Saint Louis University (SLU) announced that classes in all levels, except in the School of Law and Graduate Schools, and office work on Thursday, February 1, 2018 are suspended.
Rev. Fr. Gilbert Sales, President of SLU, cited Administrative Order 10, s. 20`18 of the City of Baguio, which suspended classes in the elementary and high school levels in the city, as the main reason for the university’s suspending of classes for the college level and office work. According to Administrative Memo 6, s.2018 of SLU, the suspension “is the university’s expression of its solidarity with the city and to give the university’s college students and employees time to witness the activities lined up by the City for the Grand Opening Parade of the 23rd Edition of ‘Panagbenga’ otherwise known as the Baguio Flower Festival.
Work in the SLU Hospital of the Sacred Heart, the SLU Sunflower Centennial Halfway Home for Boys, and the Residence Halls, however, remains due to the exigencies of the services being rendered thereat.
